Privacy policy

YouPage is run by a small team in the UK. This explains what we do with personal data — both yours as a customer, and that of the people who contact you through your site.

If you have an account with us

We store your name, email address, password (hashed, never in plain text), and everything you choose to put on your website. We use it to run the service and to email you about your account. We do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.

If you filled in a form on someone's site

Your message goes to that business, not to us. We host it on their behalf: we are the processor, they are the controller. If you want your enquiry deleted, contact the business directly — or contact us and we will pass it on.

Cookies

We set one cookie, to keep you logged in. There is no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking on the sites we publish. Maps are served by OpenStreetMap, which will see the visitor's IP address when map tiles load.

How long we keep things

Account and site data for as long as your account is open, plus 30 days. Enquiries for up to 24 months. Server logs for 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
